Our Safety and Fatigue
Policy
Being in the long-distance haulage business, we cannot over-look
issues of safety that bring about fatigue to our service crew,
thus affecting the value of our service. For that, Silverstone
Company has instituted and implemented safety points to ensure
smooth flow of operations. These are:
Education – Proactive education for our drivers and
support staff is at the forefront, since the day they are
orientated. Emphasis is placed on the dangers and signs of
fatigue.
Allowances – Education on its own cannot combat fatigue.
We go a step further to facilitate ample rest by appointing
specific resting points/sleep-overs for our drivers and support
staff en-route and also by paying for their accommodation.
Tracking – The client’s cargo is equally important
to us and we show that by mounting tracking devices on our
trucks to consistently show the exact position of the loaded
truck throughout the entire journey.
Compliance – Paramount to our operations is our compliance
to all set Government traffic rules and regulations. Our trucks
are duly inspected and our trained crew have to wear reflective
jackets while on the highway.
